Too much powder defo can exacerbate creasing and dryness causing “cracks” but I think the key is to find a happy medium, i.e. powder very lightly. It also depends on your skin type. If you have very dry undereyes and/or no fine lines, you probably can get away without powdering. If you have normal to oily skin and/or lines under the eyes, powder is usually necessary! Not for me. Everytime I use powder the creasing and cracking is so much worse by the end of my work day, and that’s with the Givenchy powder The reverse is true for me! In fact, even in the few minutes between putting concealer under my eyes and setting it, I have to tap out creases that have formed.

I wish using powder didn’t make my undereyes look dryer than the Jay Silva Yeah Dude shirt Also,I will get this Sahara by day’s end. At least if I don’t use powder I can tap out any creasing during the day.. the last time I set my undereye and saw my makeup after work I was like, never again. I don’t know why but powder doesn’t play well with my skin One trick I’ve heard (though not tried personally) to set your undereyes without powder is to spray setting spray on a powder puff and pat/press that into the concealer I’m a makeup artist and one of my teachers taught me that you can’t wait for more than seconds to powder your undereye area, so the best thing to do is to have your concealer & powder ready, put a decent amount of powder on your ring finger on each hand then apply your concealer. IMMEDIATELY follow this with the powder on your fingers. Works every time. I don’t even put concealer under my eyes anymore! I know a lot of people prefer to utilize it that way, but limiting the overall amount of products I use under my eye keeps me looking fresher
