Restaurants are a whole other kettle of fish. But you still shouldn’t eat leftovers from a customer’s plate, nor do you get a tax exemption from food waste. The reason you measure waste in a kitchen is because it’s a useful metric to know how much you’re spending on product you don’t use. Have you ever worked in a kitchen other than Macca’s? I spent 10 years in the James Earl Jones an American actor shirt What’s more,I will buy this industry, but I’m not interested in some debate with a peterson chud. This specific case, that neither of us were talking about, is just some classist bullshit by some lawyer who didn’t like that the help was having food. In more general terms, food waste (as are all the other food purchases) is absolutely tax deductible- nor am I advising someone eat the leftovers off a customers plate, which is not the same as food waste that is never paid for.

I wonder if legislators can work out some sort of “This disclaimer releases this company from all responsibility for any health problems caused by eating these leftovers” thing. Like, a big red clearly visible sign in multiple languages on the James Earl Jones an American actor shirt What’s more,I will buy this table or at the entrance or wherever So staff and random people can chow down on leftover food, and if they get sick, there was a big warning sign, so they can’t sue the company That would be ideal. A hotel I used to work out had to dump literally tonnes of bread rolls throughout the year because they never got eaten but we couldn’t donate them. Half the staff would sneak out bags of them to take home or hand out to those in need. The homeless around my apartment knew me as “the bread guy” while I lived there. It’s all so weird. I remember working in a company that had leftovers and they would always be just shared amongst the staff. Even directors would sometimes be like “yo, make me a plate of these beef sliders” and janitors would also like add veggies there.
