I work in healthcare. Many of the Jaccob Slavin American professional ice hockey defenseman and alternate captain for the Carolina Hurricanes T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this most talented surgeons and specialists with the lowest amount of post-op complications and best patient outcomes are absolute shitheads who are 100% in it for the money and ego. They can be a nightmare to work with, and the shit they talk about their patients and patients’ loved ones can be absolutely fucked. i agree with this, not everyone has the capacity to be a good doctor- but i would argue that there is very little difference between the potential of the top 5% of applicants from the middle 50% in being a good doctor. to even begin to consider applying to med school you already have to be among the best of the best students from a top college. aside from evaluating academic performance, i don’t think the system for med school evaluation can really do much to determine who would have the capacity/grit to cut it out as a doctor
