As much as I love the game and its size, there were moments during that section I was constantly asking “are we there yet?” Torrent should have been in the Elden Beast fight. The smiths should take the bells for materials needed to upgrade. Im probably too late to this thread, but a problem for me is…eventually (and this happens with every souls game) the game turns into “maybe ill do a build that does THIS, how quickly can i make that happen” The level design of dark souls 3 is banger after banger and once you get to a certain point you’re having a breeze running through a seamless gaming experience.

What I’m trying to say is, once you know which items are where, there isn’t really a need to explore any more outside of that. Once you have everything you need it kindof kills the vibe of wanting to explore because..that mystery isn’t there. The world that started out so big gets smaller REALLY fast, for me it was around my 10th run through of the game. I guess i just wanted the main parts of the game to feel a bit more streamlined and, if you REALLY knew the ins and outs of the game, that one session of play felt a bit more dynamic instead of half of it being downtime. Just my two cents, and id like to make it clear that this isn’t a criticism of the game at all, its more of an explanation why I’m not still playing the game all day every day.
