I just left my previous iob (of 15 years),.. and my new iob will effectively give me a 60% increase. So,.. I’m your target demographic ! 😉 (new job I’m going to is also a Union job,.. so that is a factor too!) job scope creep…. (IE = “other duties as assigned”). Over time, I was expected to do more and more small things,.. and all those small things add up. But that also means as you subtly “raise the bar”,.. you’re setting a new standard and then everyone just assumes you’ll keep constantly operating at that higher level. Its not realistic. Increased Employee-turnover (including Management and Leadership),.. means less and less people understood my job. Near the end it felt like I was having to explain and defend every little tiny action I took every day because nobody around me understands what I do.

This is all accurate. I had to move to a big corporation to find a company that would pay me what I am worth. At a 100-person company, there can be loyalty and merit based raises. With a 10000 employee company 80% are just doing work theater. I’m sure Musk was factoring in the 80% by getting rid of the dead beats, non contributors and activists who did nothing but create more issues for Twitter. Additionally, Twitter had been loosing money for years. Jack Ramsey the CEO of Twitter had been voted the worst CEO of a major company multiple times. So they were run by clowns who didnt care about making money only about sensoring those who didnt buy into their left wing looney tune BS.. It also sends a message to the remaining people.
