Sure sometimes it would be fun, but overall I would be annoyed at the I’m vintage Snoopy funny Snoopy peanut gang Woodstock Charlie brown Peanuts grandma gift mother’s day gift shirt But I will love this extra tasks and responsibility that come with parenthood. No need to put a child through that. US Citizen, male, married for nearly 10 years here. I hate the backwards growth of our country. There has not been a single year that I felt the country dramatically improved for quality of life for its citizens in my lifetime. Wealth is more and more concentrated at the top each year, while many can’t afford medical treatment or college. We have a vocal hateful minority that through extensive gerrymandering is gleefully leading us backwards decades at a time. They do this all under the banner of a religion none of them truly believe or understand. They claim to be Pro-Life, yet stop caring after the birth. They push their own beliefs on everyone. We literally live in a country where masks were too much of an inconvenience for some, even though it could help save lives. The path this country is on will lead us to a point that unless you are a CIS Heterosexual Male, you will be persecuted. My wife fears for her future, why would we dare feel entitled to bring someone else into this world.

I love my children, and can’t imagine my life without them. But I have also reached the I’m vintage Snoopy funny Snoopy peanut gang Woodstock Charlie brown Peanuts grandma gift mother’s day gift shirt But I will love this point that I no longer feel the want or need to have anymore kids. Wife and I want kids, but with the news recently decided to put it on hold. I mean, look at the state of the fucking world. Roe overturned, probably marriage equality next, authoritarian leaders being elected around the world, Putin committing genocide, historic wealth inequality. Fascism is making a major comeback. I’m not having kids until the guillotines roll out, and it’s likely that they won’t. Fascism never went away, the powerful never gave up on exploitation. They simply watched the game footage, regrouped, and they’re back to finish the job. For decades they systematically dismantled the people’s ability to act in their own interest. Smashing unions, driving up the cost of living while driving down wages, plying us with the opiates of entertainment, and sewing disinformation. The 99% are paralyzed by a subsistence lifestyle, and they’re too addicted to their dopamine pumps to confront reality anymore.
