I’ve wanted to be a mom my entire life. I love kids, I’ve always wanted to raise children of my own. But I can’t morally bring a child into a world that is this much of a shitshow, and getting worse by the It’s my winning season classic shirt and I will buy this day. It’s a strong possibility that there won’t be a future for them at all, never mind a chance at a happy, fulfilling life. Bringing a new life into a dying world would be cruel and selfish. I’ve cried myself to sleep over this realization, multiple times. I have mental issues, whoever I marry(if I even marry) will probably have mental issues, my children will have mental issues. The guilt I would feel if I passed along any of those traits to my kids would devastate me.

A lot of people think about “having kids” but don’t think about the “being parents” part. You have to dedicate almost your entire life to raising those kids. I could more than afford to have kids and I’m emotionally stable but I just don’t want the added responsibility or costs associated. I also don’t want to lose the freedoms I have now because of being tied down by kids.
