1.) Criminals don’t obey laws, especially a mass murderer getting ready to shoot up a school and suicide-by-cop themselves. 2.) What law could possibly be passed that would prevent someone with no criminal history from obtaining a gun in the I’m ready to crush daycare dinosaur truck T-Shirt and by the same token and US? You might as well just outlaw all guns. Never gonna happen in the US. 3.) Even if you banned all civilian gun ownership, the guns are already here (all 400 million of them) and they’re not going anywhere. “Assault weapon” ban? Please. A semi-auto pistol can still do plenty of damage on a soft target like this? Plus a criminal can just get a more powerful gun from…you guessed it…another criminal. 4.) Let’s say the military confiscated every gun from all civilians (the ultimate in “gun control”) I guess that’s the end of mass murders huh? Well probably not. You could just build a big ol bomb like Tim Mcveigh and blow up the school anyway. If the taliban make that shit anyone else can too.

The fact that mass shootings are a “uniquely American” problem actually has nothing to do with guns. It’s because of class warfare. The rich exploit the I’m ready to crush daycare dinosaur truck T-Shirt and by the same token and poor and make them so miserable that some of them decide to do these horrible things. When’s the last time someone with a 8+ figures in their bank account committed one of these crimes? Doesn’t happen. Because their lives don’t suck and they don’t have as much to be this angry about. Until that’s fixed, these incidents will never stop, whether people are using guns or not. A big problem with your argument is that class warfare is in no way, shape, or form a “uniquely American” problem. It’s arguably not even the worst place for it. In countries with higher wealth inequality than the US, there are less homicides. In every country in the world, there are many less unprovoked random mass shootings. And the have-nots of the US are still doing much better than those of most other countries. The working class of many other countries has a LOT more to be angry about than the US’s working class does in objective terms, and yet they don’t go out and commit mass murders.
