I like them for the I’m not old classic genuine quality 1983 40 years of being awesome shirt and I love this white noise too. I actually have an air purifier going for that very reason, and am so used to that bg noise that I can’t sleep in silence anymore. Freaks me OUT. I might have some degree of misophonia and sounds trigger me quite a bit. I might have a strange case, since I don’t like total silence. Partially because I have tinnitus. NTA: Been married to a fan guy for 30+ years. I just have extra blankets. Why is she so mean to you over something like this? NTA. Thats how you are. One has to learn to sleep with or without but couples sleeping in separate rooms are also a thing. >”if you lost some damn weight you wouldn’t need the fan” which isn’t true.. I’m only 9 lbs overweight and I’ve been sleeping with a fan on me ever since I was a twiggy teenager.

She knew you sleep with a fan. She asked if you would turn it off and you said you can’t because then your sleep would suffer so you offered her an alternative. She turned down your reasonable alternative and then attacked your weight. Then she kept you up for 2 hours complaining about the I’m not old classic genuine quality 1983 40 years of being awesome shirt and I love this fan. The reason you feel bad is because you’re sleep deprived from listening to her whinge for two hours. This is reddit so I suggest moving her right back out. Wrong? Probably not…but at the same time, an element of successful relationships often has to do with compromise. As strongly as you feel about the need for the fan, she may feel the same way about not having it. Of course this is a rude thing to say, but with zero other context, I’m not going to make a snap judgement as to how you should take it…frustration and discomfort when it comes to sleep can make people irritable…and you had just suggested she can leave and go to a different room, essentially dismissing her.
