We evolved to have narrower hips, which makes birth much more difficult. I love that people think just because it’smeans it’s easy ha. My first labour didn’t go well, and I was unable to get an epidural. At one point, I blacked out. My husband says I screamed at the top of my lungs for quite a while, which I don’t remember doing. It was 12 years ago and the pain I do remember was so severe that it affected my ability to bond with my baby and physically recover. I feel I have PTSD and permanent injuries. God’s perfect design for childbirth must be why my daughter was “breech” (not oriented head first) and my wife needed a c-section. Or why my wife had two miscarriages. Or why so many babies are born with horrible genetic disorders and either live only a few hours in agony or grow up with serious mental handicaps and disfigurements. God’s design is So PeRfEcT. I had 3 births without pain medication, two in the hospital, one homebirth. I wouldn’t say it doesn’t hurt like hell though!
