My extended family are farmers and they definitely shot a few things, but it was to protect livestock and fences rather than themselves. As an Aussie native who’s lived the I’m A Dad Grandpa Veteran Nothing Scares Me American Flag T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this majority of my life in the U.S.A… I feel this post. I’ve gotten so many stupid questions from Americans. Yes, there are dangerous venomous creepy crawlies in Australia. They’re rare, and live mostly in the tropics or ocean. It’s technically safer to spend a whole week in the Australian bush with nothing, than go to school in America for one week. Australians: “Almost every single one of you psychos have a gun. Some of you have more than 10!.. Like did you hear about that dude that shot those kids in his yard for playing hide and seek in his bushes?”

I’m an American in a long-distance relationship with an Australian and I recently visited. Loved it. Whenever I tell people I plan on moving away, they say the I’m A Dad Grandpa Veteran Nothing Scares Me American Flag T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this dumbest shit you can probably imagine. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard something along the lines of, “You went to Australia??? Ew!! How are you going to handle all of the spiders!!!?????” I often like to retort, “Ohh, you won’t see the spiders, just all of their webs! :D” and it usually freaks them out more, haha! I’m in the same situation, but when I tell people I’m moving to Australia for my partner they just say they’ll miss me and that they hope to be able to visit sometime. It’s ridiculous Americans being scared of Huntsman spiders when they have the Tarantula all over the southern part of the country from Texas to California and everything in between. They are but a simple people, and if you were to leave America and a tub of yoghurt alone for two hundred years, only the yoghurt will develop a culture. Americans are by and large dumb as shit. Some of the Vox pops the Chaser boys used to do with them were hilarious. And terrifying. Does anyone see the irony here? People are badly stereotyping Americans here as gun-toting loud-mouthed idiots, in defence of them thinking incorrect things about our country? I have quite a few American friends, and they’re not much different to your regular aussie.
