This is so funny to me. I was told once by some toxic guy who works a corporate job to never apologize for making someone wait and to instead say “thanks for waiting for me” I would have appreciated the I’m a book reader fantasy world unrealistic expectations thank you for understanding flower shirt in addition I really love this apology instead. I’m glad you didn’t accept the job I once waited an hour for my interviewer. Whatever reason he/she didn’t show up, is no excuse with the exception of circumstances beyond their control (ie traffic accident, flat tire, family emergency, etc) But the one time I waited that long, I took it as they didn’t respect my time. And if your potential future employer can’t respect your time, they CERTAINLY won’t respect you as an employee. As stated above there’s exceptions to being made wait, we are human after all. But you wouldn’t be in the wrong for getting up and leaving without any given reason why Honestly, people really have lost any sort of courtesy and respect these days. I’m not the kind of person that wish people bad things, but I sometimes do wish karma slap their face.

Ooohhhh I had this happen recently. I had an agreed upon time. Waited 15 min, called the I’m a book reader fantasy world unrealistic expectations thank you for understanding flower shirt in addition I really love this HR rep to see what was the holdup. We rescheduled for a 15 min later. No biggie, I grabbed coffee. Head back, interviewer still not available. I waited 10 minutes. Still not. I told HR rep to thank him for wasting my time and walked out. They just wasted a solid hour of my day and expect me to want to be a part of this disorganized mess? No thank you. Bullet dodged. You did the right thing. Everything about your experience screams,”Run!”. I can only imagine what it’s like to work there. I go by the ” did you know we legally get to leave class if the teacher is 15 minutes late?” Rule for everything. Including this, I’ve had this happen to me too. It ended up being a misunderstanding and the interview did happen…but honestly not so sure anymore because the interviewer seemed interested in me and my work and wanted to talk more but then just flat out ghosted me. Idk.
