Yeah those are considered townhouses, if it’s a singe family dwelling or standalone house then you don’t share any adjoining walls with anyone… Since that’s an obvious thing many ppl want you’d think Airbnb would make that something you can filter for but of course they want hosts to be able to catshiig you into staying in their shitholes full of gotcha! ‘Oh actually providing a bathroom in the If you don’t like LA Steelers merry kissmyass santa claus shirt in contrast I will get this USA doesn’t mean you can use the plumbing!’ Also, when someone offers an a home to rent but only in the basement, they also advertise it as such , “basement home” or whatnot . Many hosts do, but not all. Personally, I think hosts SHOULD be clear in their listings. My listing is a private suite in my home with a separate entrance and no shared indoor spaces. It’s listed as an entire home on Airbnb, but I am very clear in my listing that it is part of my home and I live onsite.

See, if OP was considered to rent your suite, he would know your listing is good for him beforehand . It would even be okay for him perhaps, if it was communicated to him prior . See I don’t mind these, I’ve stayed in 2 “basement” suites both around big city suburbs and it was plainly advertised and I didn’t mind at all I stayed in a basement suite that was advertised as a private room. But it was its own space with a bedroom, kitchen, little dining area, and bathroom, not shared. Also had two private entrances, not shared. I mentioned to the If you don’t like LA Steelers merry kissmyass santa claus shirt in contrast I will get this hostess that it really qualified as an Entire Space and she said it was easier for her to list it as a private room so she didn’t have prior disappointed that she and her adult sons lived upstairs.
