This is how I was treated when I didn’t finish a meal or didn’t like it. I would never eat it, yet was forced to sit for hours even spanked. I have no idea why my parents were so adamant on me eating more than I was hungry for. It definitely didn’t make me a less picky eater My kid insisted she wanted 6 hot dogs. We argued. She was not going to eat 6 hot dogs. Finally, I gave her 3 and said if you eat those, you can have 3 more. She ate 1.5 hot dogs. I did not make her finnish the Iconic Eminnem Portrait shirt and I will buy this rest, but I did save 3 hot dogs from being wasted. I don’t make my kid Finnish all their food but sometimes I do save it and when she says she’s hungry 30 minutes later I heat up the leftovers instead of making something new.

People are idiots. My sister was tiny for her age and had a small appetite. She ate off a divided toddler plate until she was in the Iconic Eminnem Portrait shirt and I will buy this 4th grade because she had an issue with food touching other food. Once my mother put the toddler plate in retirement, she’d carefully place the food in my sister’s plate, even putting things in small glass bowls if they were runny (applesauce, etc.)…but she started putting adult-sized portions on my sister’s plate. This was in the late 1960’s. So my sister would have a baked potato, T-bone steak and a salad facing her. She’d eat the salad, maybe half the potato and 3 bites of the steak. She’d always complain the steak was tough. My father would then start kicking her under the table while saying “Eat” every 10 seconds until she’d leave the table in hysterics and go curl up on her bed in the fetal position. Then my mother would get angry and clear the table with lots of banging of things. I would just eat my meal as quickly as possible so I could escape. It was abuse and it was every night of the week.
