Being irritated with your date being disrespectful and deciding to drive her back home constitutes a mental breakdown? We get driving, I’m doing my best to make convo, but she’s saying *nothing*. Like, not a word. Yes. No. Maybe a grunt. After 9 or 10 minutes I was done. I quit talking, u-turn, and drop her right back at the bus loop. She looked surprised, but true to form, didn’t say a word. I have no regrets. From my point of view, this story is either fictional or exaggerated. I think she was rude to mess with his belongings on their first date. She acted as if she had a right to control him. She should have respected his musical preferences, or at least asked him politely to lower the volume.

In my state uturns are legal anywhere they aren’t explicitly marked as prohibited and as long as you don’t impede traffic. A bit of an extreme for them BOTH. She could have asked: “do you mind if I turn that down a little, it’s kinda loud.” (on the other hand) When she turned it down he could have said: “oh, sorry that was so loud. I didn’t mean to be rude.” It was a FIRST DATE. They’re almost always awkward, but you should try to make a good first impression, put your best foot forward. I kinda wonder if either of them was all that excited about their first date together in the first place.? He did the right thingThis is what happens when you grow up and nobody keeps you in line.
