Funnily enough I had covid a few weeks ago and I ate the I Try To Avoid Drama Because THe Mouth Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this strangest things because I couldn’t taste anything. Needless to say, he didn’t cook me anything ? XY Here; If it was JUST cooking, as your title suggests, I’d vote bitch. But if he can’t be bothered to clean up after himself, I assume he was pretty useless in many other regards, so fuck ’em. Also, unless there was some mental issues around cooking, not being able to do the bare minimum, like heating up leftovers, it sounds like pure laziness, not an inability. That title is misleading cause at first it makes you think “oh, he just can’t cook, many people can’t do that” but it just gets worse and worse as you read the post LOL. Not only is he terrible at cooking but he also didn’t help around the house, would crash at YOUR place and leave his shit all over. The whole recipe fiasco is it’s own story but this is more than him being unable to cook, he just seems like a lazy ass person that expects others to do things for him. When I say I can’t cook, I mean I can’t make something from scratch that will taste good. I can still cook pasta, eggs, a halfway decent breakfast, the easy stuff. When someone is literally Homer Simpson and won’t make cereal for fear of it bursting into flames, that’s when it’s no longer reasonable. If you can’t boil water, it’s time to grow the fuck up. NTA. That man is a child. And it sounds like he hasn’t made any attempt to learn basic life skills despite being asked to do so and promising to do so. You already have enough actual children to sustain, no need to keep a man-child around too.

i’m surprised you had that much patience for him up until now; also calling you a bitch….on your birthday no less. yikes. He (and it sounds like your ex was doing the I Try To Avoid Drama Because THe Mouth Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this same) used to claim he couldn’t do anything (hoover, wash up, cook, wash down the bath after filling it with soap slime and hair, pick up his pants or socks) despite having lived alone before, but he’d had a cleaner come round until I moved in. It’s a dick move (on his part), you didn’t shame him and you didn’t set him up for a fail. You have him every opportunity, tried to help and did a lot more than I would have done. It’s interesting that the majority of the non supportive ones are from men when I posted in a sub centered about women discussing things from a woman’s perspective.
