I was working at the I teach the cutest bees in the beehive T-Shirt and I love this mall when the Aurora theater shooting happened and knew several people who were shot. I saw them lined up for the movie as I left that night. Our elementary school wasn’t too far from Columbine either. I remember the doors being locked that day which was weird because they never were. Met a couple survivors years later. One was our Uber driver and he shared quite a bit about what he went through. And it is sad how many people have been impacted by not one, but multiple events, some even more directly than that. Here and across our country. What do you think about the nearly 400 police officers who cowered for an hour and a half while 21 children were systematically slaughtered, unprotected?

I wrote about it a bit here. even when I was working I didn’t spend much time thinking about Uvalde. There’s just not much to learn there With all due respect, that assertion is fucking ridiculous. It’s mind-blowing that you would be so nonchalant actually. Not much to learn?! From FOUR HUNDRED ARMED and ARMORED cops to cower for THAT LONG? AND not only THAT, but to forcefully restrain parents on scene willing to run to battle to save their own babies?! Holy shit this country is in deep shit. Thanks for your input oFfIcEr There’s very little to learn from Uvalde apart from “yeah, don’t do that.” Everything that the I teach the cutest bees in the beehive T-Shirt and I love this responders did went against long established SOPs. Nothing the shooter did was particularly innovative, either. It also wasn’t in a novel environment. So yeah, there’s very little to learn from Uvalde that isn’t already known. Vegas, the Weatherhead shooting, Oak Creek, and the Fairchild AFB shooting are all much better teaching moments.
