Some good family friends of mine were present and escaped unharmed from that country concert in Vegas where there was shooter from an overlooking hotel. 4 years ago, my mom (teacher) and little sister (student at the I survived remote instruction all i got was this lousy anteater T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this time) narrowly avoided the school shooting at Saugus, CA because they were a couple minutes later than usual. The spot where the shooter fired was where my sister used to hang out before class. If she was there, she would have been in the direct path. I grew up thinking it’s such an anomaly for this to happen. Now? Every single “love you” and “goodbye” is so important. Yah, I finished HS when the Columbine shooting happened and I don’t think I knew of any school shootings before then. Even mass shootings didn’t register much. Then it seemed like frequency increased, media coverage greatly increased and now I can’t even go to a movie without thinking at least once, “what if?” While I don’t know anyone that’s survived a shooting I imagine I would only need to ask a friend or two if they knew someone. It’s sad.

I can’t imagine the I survived remote instruction all i got was this lousy anteater T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this type of subconscious and conscious stress that kids these days are dealing with because at any moment a classmate could shoot them and their friends. Boulder King Soopers shooting: I live in Arvada and the number of overlaps with the boulder King Soopers shooter is nauseating. We used to eat the Middle Eastern restaurant his family owns and that he worked at, which means he definitely cooked some food we ate and potentially served us. Him and his family lived in a neighborhood where we have lots of friends. Columbine: we know someone whose son was there and in a lot of the news videos trying to escape out a window. I know the family of one of the victims, they are very well known for their work in schools. 2019 STEM school shooting: my best friend’s son was in the school and part of the lock down. He heard the shots and knew the kid who was killed.
