I find meditation allows whatever is under the I may look cute but I am dangerous T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this surface to really show up fully. When I first started my anxiety was so bad but I wasn’t really aware of it. In meditation I’d find it coming up and making me cry pretty frequently, partly from relief and partly inner sadness. It’s always normal to cry, in my opinion. Good job dude. That takes some courage. Suppressed feelings build up when you’re high so it’s good to give yourself a break at least. You don’t need to go cold turkey but itd be a good idea ease off for a while. Get some therapy/counselling if u can, knowing that you have intrusive thoughts. Good for you! Your experience will vary as you continue on this path. Try to give yourself grace and don’t judge yourself, or measure or compare your effectiveness at meditation with what you think other people experience.

I’m a neurodivergent female in long term recovery for alcoholism and substance abuse and meditation has changed my life. I began meditating on a daily basis as part of a 12-step program and it has helped me immensely with sensory overwhelm, exhaustion, insomnia, and general anxiety. It was hard at first because I felt like I wasn’t doing it “right”, and like a true aspie I had intense performance anxiety about it but over time the I may look cute but I am dangerous T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this anxiety started to wear away and my life has improved a thousandfold. You can’t do it wrong. If I could “reduce usage” I would smoke and eat weed every day. That said I quit cold turkey 18 years ago. It took me about a year to really feel the fog lift. Insomnia was an issue for about 2 months. But I wasn’t meditating daily at first which I think will make everything easier. Crying is the best Crying is normal in general, but even more special that it happened after meditation. Meditation is a type of release so it makes sense that you’d have this reaction after a difficult time. Keep it up!
