To each their own, I suppose. The sentiments can be phrased however you think will get the I like big boats and i cannot lie palm vintage T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this response you want. For me, speaking the language of the people with whom I’m interacting tends to get me better results than more casual language, especially where corporate types will take that casual language as further license that they were right to lowball. I get the principle at play in not phrasing things as they do, but I’ve never had the luxury of hardening myself against changing some words to get a better result. Well spoken. And for what it’s worth, the person on the receiving end can tell when you’re speaking polite corporate-ese for “go f*** yourselves”, they just have to handle it maturely or they begin to lose the upper hand.

Leave You know, I wish more people would accept these offers then ghost the company. They wasted your time, waste theirs Fuck that company, you need to name and shame for this dishonest behavior. This is so unethical and predatory and you can help innocent people who really need it. Sadly it seems OP is refusing to name them. I see others asking them to do the same. Instead, they ignore them so that others will just waste their time and get fucked over as well! Yay! The clown show continues purely because we let it 🙂 Serious question. I did something similar to that earlier this year. It wasn’t my intention, but the onbording paperwork had me signing a job description with a title that would have totally de-railed my career path. I signed the offer two months before the start date, and this paperwork only came in with less than a week to go. My bullshit alarm was going off the entire time, so I hadn’t given notice. I just sent a simple email saying something came up and blocked them on my phone and LinkedIn. For context: I live in IL, company based in FL, and the job would have paid to relocate to WI. But yeah, because companies are free to do stuff like this, giving notice at work isn’t something you can safely do anymore.
