Nuclear and renewables don’t work together because nuclear is so expensive up front, it only works economically if it runs 24/7/365. As soon as renewables drive down prices over a large part of the year, no nuclear power plant will ever be profitable again, especially not new ones. You can’t run a nuclear power plant as a peaker plant.
