The Batman is a beautiful, dark (both literally and metaphorically), gothic noir take on probably one of the I Just Want To Read My Books And Ignore All Of My Adult Problem Snoopy Shirt so you should to go to store and get this most compelling characters in comics. Cool scenes, epic entrances & a standout performance from Pattinson unfortunately do not make up for such a weak plot, an overly dark color palette, an unremarkable isolated villain and weightless relationships. But seeing Batman punch 2 cops and snarkly remark “lets make it 3” in a room surrounded by a legion of them like a rat trapped in a cage was fucking amazing, and Pattinsons acting in this scene when he thinks Gordon is against him, you can actually hear the fear of betrayal in his voice and on his face when he says “you too?!”, it made my heart sink for a second. Pattinson has limitless potential, and without considering all the other amazing things this movie has to offer his performance alone was worth the 30$ ticket price – you will be doing yourself a massive disservice by not seeing this on the biggest, loudest screen possible.

PS. It was nice of Pattinson, Zoe and Paul to wave to the I Just Want To Read My Books And Ignore All Of My Adult Problem Snoopy Shirt so you should to go to store and get this bourgeoisie before the movie began at the NYC Lincoln Square showing. Nowadays I’m hesitant going to theaters in the city as NYC lately mirrors the incessant decay and filth of the Gotham City shown in this movie, this issue exacerbated by the homeless woman taking a shit on subway stairs as I made my way there, but my anticipation for this movie was unconscionable so I had to see it through. It was worth it. I agree with, and disagree with, a lot of what you said, but I upvoted you because most people aren’t putting in this much thought or effort, and I respect that. Agree with parts and disagree with others, but I definitely have to disagree that it was shot poorly – this is probably the best a Batman film has looked in terms of blocking, staging, composition, and color grading. i meant the fight scenes were shot poorly, rest of the movie and the car chase scene especially were shot beautifully
