I’ve just wasted 4 minutes reading a story from a Pub Manager about two people who didn’t know each other having a conversation. That is literally it. I’ve just summarised 8 full paragraphs into one sentence and I’ve left nothing pertinent out. Here to also recommend Brabantia bins. If you want nice tea towels, Emma Bridgewater. Right, that’s enough middle class for me This IKEA £0.75 tea towel has been my greatest purchase: They also did 4 for (I think) £1 of these fluffy white and blue ones at some point. After a wash they were great and cheap enough to throw away if they got minging. I think my bin came from Sainsbury’s home, it is perfectly adequate. The thing that makes all the I Just Want To Drink Coffee And Pet My Labrador Retriever Yellow Lab T-Shirt and I will buy this difference in my opinion is bin bags that fit in it properly. Old linen (Flax) fabric from charity shops is really good for tea towels. I cut up old table cloths and re-hem them. You need either Glass Cloth linen tea towels by Linen Union, or any linen tea towels by Ulster Weavers. I recently found a couple of vintage unused Ulster Weavers tea towels and they are unbeatable. Glass cloth ones used to be the standard when I worked in a scullery at a boarding school. Basic ‘pattern’ (usually white, with a primary-colour stripe down the side) and expensive to buy but they’ll last ages and they actually absorb water, which the modern/cheap ones certainly do not do.

Agree, I always get linen tea towels from the I Just Want To Drink Coffee And Pet My Labrador Retriever Yellow Lab T-Shirt and I will buy this charity shop as they are the best but so expensive. It takes at least ten years to break in a new linen tea towel properly so it makes sense to get ones that are already at peak absorbency! Get yourself to a catering supplier. Or eBay. Buy a load of glass clothes (the ones with the blue stripes) But stick them in with your white washes a couple of times before you use them. Cheap and work the best. I’m 47 and I think I’m done now. Joseph Joseph bin is the best bin we have had though it’s quite pricey online at the mo but we got it on a Black Friday deal half price so worth keeping an eye out in the next few weeks Also have a poncy Joseph Joseph bin but the thing is brilliant. Doesn’t take up much floor space either as it has two compartments, one on top of the other.
