At least back in the I just hope both teams have fun sportsmanship teams and play T-Shirt But I will love this 80s most people I knew in the midwest were bad at cooking, we just didn’t realize it. I went back to Missouri for my mom’s funeral a few years ago and they had a potluck at the church. It was like whatever the opposite of nostalgia would be called. Memories for my taste buds but they were bad instead of good. man, I can taste that tuna salad jello mold from here! I grew up in Missouri, wasn’t until I married my West Indian husband that I found the treasure trove of spices and seasonings and learned how to properly flavor food. Yeah in hindsight I now realize what it means. As a kid when I heard it I never considered what it meant, I just knew snoop dog was cool. Wasn’t the lyric, at least in Jay-Z’s H to the Izzo (IIRC), “fo shizzle my nizzle…” I guess it makes sense in context???

I just hope both teams have fun sportsmanship teams and play T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Remember when Sam Jackson, when promoting Django Unchained, urged a reporter to say the I just hope both teams have fun sportsmanship teams and play T-Shirt But I will love this n-word ending in a? What happened to context and nuance. I didn’t know that either and I’m Black and I remember when Snoop started doing that stupid -izzle bit. I think in this instance, as another user mentioned, they are using this as an excuse to get rid of her without legal repercussion. New hires with less experience are cheap. While the media is more politically correct now, I don’t think that is why this happened This is the most likely reason but so many people are using it as an excuse to white knight. You can see who actually tries to understand the nuance of fighting for equality and who’s reaching for excuses to feel good about themselves. They’re trying to use the fact she said grandmammy to a black coworker on air as backup. Now I can understand if she regularly makes faux pas when trying to socialize, but I have yet to hear anything actually racist. But these are also common phrases that, despite some people’s ignorance one way or the other, have very little overt (or, imo, even hidden) racist connotations. This is not the battlefield some people want it to be.
