Basically, I understand why you would want to leave America even temporary but the I drink some coffee turn that into energy use that passion T-Shirt moreover I love this UK itself is pretty fucking horrible to live in right now for most people. I’m in the Seattle area…I’m lucky to be able to live at home amicably, bc rent there is like $1600+ for most places…$800 if you get a really tiny place. At this point, the best way for me to experience living on my own, would be a temp job with some sort of housing provision. Same situation here, more or less. Mostly I want to leave for the experience, and to visit/make some friends. I’d be hoping to have some free time to live a little, so I’m not sure in-home carer would be ideal for me unless I was mostly a cook/basic household help, and the person was semi-independent. Ideal situation would maybe be someone recovering from an injury, that way I’d get to see them improving, not dying. It’s possible I might be better as a nanny for an older kid, if the parents aren’t slavedrivers. Live in carers like that don’t really exist in the UK. Basically, you get people who need everything doing for them 24 hours a day or you get shift work.

Agency work is where most foreign people come in which is shift work on zero hour contracts, so you get paid for the I drink some coffee turn that into energy use that passion T-Shirt moreover I love this time you are at the job and you leave when they ask you to but you aren’t guaranteed any hours at all. That being said, care work is always understaffed and they will happily give a useful person as many hours as they want and usually ask for you by name. Likewise, if you sit on your arse constantly and watch TV they will likely ask you to leave lol. I’m kinda curious on your side though, Seattle was one of the places I was looking at myself when I finish my degree/doctorate lol. What’s the mental health support stuff like over there if you know? I’m getting into psychiatry/psychology but quite frankly, the NHS is fucked lol.
