In the 1973 Billy Joel Live In concert the 15th Sold Out Show announcement T-Shirt in other words I will buy this us they basically have homeless shelters for the elderly. They get checked in on a couple times a week. It’s largely a question of how cooperative they are able to be. The squeaky wheels get culled. plenty of people in my state live in a house alone until they stop coming out of it. Then the city has to come and clear the property out, “clean” the house. And do everything they can to resell it to some other schmuck who will likely do the same in another 30 years. They won’t even replace the floor where the corpse laid, just put some new carpet on it and call er’ good. State run facility. Depends on which state you live in. Some subcontract to cute small private care homes, some have nice corporate run ones… usually they are pretty grim, urine smelling, and depressing. In the UK, we have a system designed to look at the person’s situation and decide what’s in their best interests.

Some people end up living at home normally, some get local council funded carers, some get moved to supported living situations (where the 1973 Billy Joel Live In concert the 15th Sold Out Show announcement T-Shirt in other words I will buy this elderly do most things themselves but are helped when they struggle with things like memory) and some get moved to care homes. I currently work with supported living and some people are definitely better off than others. Unfortunately, family ends up abusing financial situations a fair amount. Are there ever care jobs that don’t involve bathroom duties lol? Asking bc I’ve noticed there are a lot of opportunities for visa sponsorship in caregiver jobs. I’d be great at getting groceries, cooking, light yard work, companionship. Do they have a helper with you for bathing and bathroom stuff? I can’t lift most ppl lol. Not even looking to move permanently, a temp job would be cool. Not all of them need help with the toilet but most need help with showering and bathing. Honestly this isn’t as bad as you think it is. The person is usually more embarrassed than you are and you are encouraged to have the person do as much personal care as they can comfortably do themselves.
