This is the I Can’t I Have Cookies to Bake Retro Baking T-Shirt and I will buy this way. And don’t get discouraged when he’s 4 or 5 and suddenly he’s the pickiest eater ever.. it’s a phase. In my experience it lasts a year or so then slowly goes back to how he was before. Our oldest was like that… big fun going to the doctor where he scolds you for not “feeding your child properly”. He ate about 6 things until he was 4 years old. Thank you for confirming my childhood abuse. My parents think that we were a normal family. Yet any unfinished food my dad found in the trash my dad would make us pick it out and eat it. So I learned to feed the slop to the dog (he wouldn’t even eat it at times) or chew it and hide it in my clothes or my hand and preferred to go to bed hungry after sitting at the table for hours. That’s absolutely disgusting. My wife’s father (and step mother the enabler) went with full physical violence with their kids if they didn’t eat everything. My wife had an esophagus stricture that made it incredibly difficult to eat (still has but to a lesser degree because living with me away from him is basically zero stress plus I give her the time she needs to eat instead of being an asshole). Basically imaging being choked with a belt while trying to swallow food but it’s always like that, having to eat slowly and with small bites or she’d throw it up. They thought she was lying about it being hard to swallow food so her father would get up and smash their faces in the food and rub it around in the plate. You don’t even do that to a dog. After she was finally diagnosed around 10 or so, instead of having patience and working around what is clearly a disability, they had a feeding tube put in. Literally if her parents had stopped assaulting her, the stricture would have relaxed. She never told me about it for years until recently when we had a blowout about not cooking at home and her always wanting takeout because she would never agree on anything to eat and wouldn’t cook for herself when I was at work. Thankful to the therapist for the help and meds to help with the PTSD. Now I understand that she has PTSD of eating inside a house. Drive through was never a problem.

Lord bless it. Too many folks were like this in the I Can’t I Have Cookies to Bake Retro Baking T-Shirt and I will buy this old country, growing up with Depression parents of tight money. You ate what was in front of you, which was fine. But not forced to eat something that made you sick or just didn’t taste right, then get punished UGH. Thank goodness my family was nicer. Letting us kids pick the vegetable, and help prepare dinner. My dad and step grandmother did this to me. If i wouldn’t finish my peas (which made me gag), they would spank me and give my ice cream cone dessert to my sister instead and have her eat it in front of me. Or send me to bed early. It’s abuse and it’s terrible. I hate peas to this day from the experiences and I’m 38 now. I realized that a lot of people don’t know how to properly cook or season food. Which is why a lot of kids hate vegetables. My boyfriend hated brussel sprouts and cauliflower since childhood but those are two of my favorite veggies. I had him try some of mine and he loved it. I chopped some up and used them in a fried rice last night and it was bangin. I also often use brussel sprouts for cole slaw and most people have no idea it’s not cabbage.
