The one and only argument that people should make for student loan debt relief is that giving poor people money means they’ll spend it, thereby increasing the I Am A Detroit Lions Fan A Say Merry Christmas God Bless America I Don’t Care Leave Shirt also I will do this velocity of money/stimulating the economy. But instead, most arguments are “woe is me” or “I deserve it” or “it’s not my fault I made poor financial choices.” I have to hope my dad leaves me a house that I can rent out as supplemental income. So far he has 2 houses and I have 2 siblings. Who the fuck had a net worth of 125000? I’m 30 and am $20 short on rent because I bought shoes for a job interview Nothing scares old pricks more than showing them picture of somebody who vaguely reminds them of pictures they saw on TV during 1960 LSD wave. Yup just good old bullshit propaganda. I mean this is fairly accurate. Student loan relief is mostly paying out to people with post-secondary degrees. It is not helping out the needy or poor and is being championed by people who see their bosses getting government money and asking where’s their payout. Me and my wife make (roughly) $250k/year (combined income with OT). In CA. Guess where that has us…living in my dad’s house. And we don’t even have student loan debts anymore. It’s hopeless even after the debt. 40yr old millennial here. I pay 2/3rds of my parents bills. Also a parent myself. What’s this net worth shit? 25k student loans debt left.

The average millennial are parents and homeowners? I though we were killing the I Am A Detroit Lions Fan A Say Merry Christmas God Bless America I Don’t Care Leave Shirt also I will do this real estate and breeding industries.. Oh, is she one of the one’s who had rich Republican daddy bought her a house but wouldn’t support her stupid major?…but is used as an example of the “lazy liberal left”? Y’all need to learn about “averages”. Just cause your anecdata doesn’t fit this headline doesn’t make it false. And to be fair, while I’m not against some form of debt forgiveness here, it’s a solidly regressive policy considering what else the money could be used for. Meet the average r/antiwork poster: karma farming peoples emotions so they can sell their accounts to propaganda organizations and porn boys. 165 day old account with 600k karma. Yeah yeah y’all can start defending a bot now. The net worth of the “average” American is $748,800. So $128,000 is pretty bad actually. I think the author is confusing net worth and gross income. Though admittedly I haven’t actually read the article. I worked 3 jobs to pay off my loans. Everyone else can too. I didn’t ask you to pay my loans. You take a loan, you pay it back. That’s called personal responsibility. As a millennial that grew up in poverty, I made the decision at a young age that I would work and do whatever I needed to not be poor. It sucked and I hated my life for a lot of it, but I have a family, own a home, and I’m ready to retire once the kids are out of the house. I don’t think most millennials are willing to do what it takes though.
