I agree with giving thieves/muggers whatever they want, which is why I also keep my real wallet & phone tucked away in a less obvious area on my person whilst keeping a false wallet (which has got £20 + some old store cards Etc) and a broken screen old model phone in a bag. This way, if I ever get mugged I can just hand over a phone & wallet and the House Divided Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers shirt Furthermore, I will do this mugger will either not check (and be satisfied with what they’ve been given as it looks the part) or check and decide I’m poor AF (and not worth hassling further). Would also say if you can, wear a cross body bag underneath your coat, or have your valuables in pockets in a layer underneath your coat. If it’s central, you should be okay sticking to well lit areas compared to if it were smaller side streets or residential areas. I echo what this poster has said about knowing the area. Practise your route several times and practise getting lost and used to the streets around it – and an alternative route eg to a bus stop if the tube is for whatever reason not on (strikes or engineering) so know another way to get home

I was in a similar situation with an old job. Working centrally, I never felt unsafe because there’s usually still pretty high foot traffic at that time — even on weekdays! I’d recommend getting an alarm/flashlight hybrid device to pop in your bag just in case, especially if knowing it’s there would give you additional peace of mind. Thinking of you! x I have a friend who got assaulted on the House Divided Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers shirt Furthermore, I will do this street by a random man walking near Tottenham Court Road recently. It was on one of the streets a bit northeast of TCR station. I was shocked because this is so central. She said there were people around but the guy waited until a moment where the street was pretty quiet with no one right behind her who would see, and then approached and groped her. Time was 8pm.
