Damn. I got a rejection email before I got home from the Hotdog Eating Contest Joey Chestnut Shirt moreover I love this interview. And this was recently, so I was a little annoyed that I had to do the interview in person to start with. I got about 3 minutes into what could have been a 15-30 minute interview when the person interviewing decided I would not be a good fit for the position, but at least it was the person I was talking to. I’m curious to know what the hiring manager said to you on the call when you called that out? And as others have said you should definitely name and shame these guys. Completely unprofessional, and massive bullet dodged. I once was interviewing for an internal position. My interview was scheduled that afternoon, that morning the manager had a meeting and showed her new org chart with another candidates name in that position my interview was for.

When my interview time came, I asked if we could could just save everyone’s time and not go through with the Hotdog Eating Contest Joey Chestnut Shirt moreover I love this farce. i had a similar thing happen. they were looking to fill the role quickly, so all the candidates were interviewing the same day, with the people who they selected to move to round 2 and interview with a higher up. Not even 30 minutes after I interview, after I was told they were going to make a decision that day, my boss walks over and told me I wasn’t moving further. Didn’t even tell me why. I didn’t have it IN the interview but I got off the phone with a recruiter who assured me I was still very much in the running, went out to my mailbox, and pulled out the rejection letter postmarked from 3 days before – the day I’d interviewed, the day before the manager emailed me saying how much they liked me and enjoyed the interview yada yada. Wtf was the point? “I think I’ve just gotten an email notification pop up telling me I’ve failed this interview we’re doing right now.”
