I had an interview in law school with a firm that I was genuinely interested in working for. I got back to my apartment after the Boy’s Lilo & Stitch Tropical American Flag 4Th Of July American Usa Svg Shirt but in fact I love this interview (same day), and there was a rejection letter from the same firm in my mailbox. It had been mailed two days earlier… I have never understood why they went ahead with the interview, knowing they had decided days earlier not to hire me. Similar experience for me, but got an email while I was still in my last interview (of the day, which was filled with interviews with various people from the same firm). I found it really demoralizing, but they probably had already filled their summer class and couldn’t hire anyone else. That’s my guess anyway. I was debating just hanging up during the Zoom call then I got the email from Indeed saying I didn’t get picked.

This has happened to my company as well just due to a misclick from the Boy’s Lilo & Stitch Tropical American Flag 4Th Of July American Usa Svg Shirt but in fact I love this recruiter side accidentally closing the role which made all current candidates rejected. The hiring manager found out because they were literally in interview when someone received the mail. That person also questioned why the email came up so the hiring manager was obviously incredibly pissed. She basically just said that while they’re confident in my sales ability they have some reservations about my technical knowledge. But… a.) they didn’t ask any technical questions b.) i used to sell for a competitor, i know the industry. granted this was a little bit of a higher position I would have straight up said “ if it’s technical aptitude you’re worried about feel free to ask me some technical questions, as I feel you have yet not given me the chance to dispel those concerns.” You have nothing to lose at that point you know? I’ve gotten an email like that an hour after I got home. I’ve also had interviews canceled an hour before, telling me they’ve made an offer to someone else. Companies, and HR teams, suck. Honest question: would you rather they make you wait days to hear back, or let you do an interview for a role they’ve already filled? If so, why? The shame is on them. You dodged a bullet. They ultimately did you a favor and took themselves out like the trash they are.
