It wasn’t for me, just as an example. Used to open a coffee shop in liverpool st early in the Happy 100 Days With Sweet Hearts Lunch Day Of School Cafeteria T-Shirt and I will buy this morning for years and get a night bus at 4am to get there from a not great part of London. Mine can be luck, but going out at night is not so unsafe don’t wear headphones when walking and keep valuables out of sight. Wear a cross body bag rather than on one shoulder get a keyring panic alarm, possibly a dye spray/UV spray which are legal and if anything were to happen can gain you vital seconds and also then makes it easier for police to find assailants Don’t stop. Never stop to give the time/directions/help. Just say “train to catch” and and walk on. Get a personal alarm if your followed and use it.

Mobile phones really fucking hurt when they get slapped against an ear or pushed hard into the Happy 100 Days With Sweet Hearts Lunch Day Of School Cafeteria T-Shirt and I will buy this neck. Get a rubber case for it though so you can maintain a firm grip if it really comes down to that. Stay in the light and in clear view of cameras. Failing that get one of those aluminium torches that go under the barrels on guns. They will be very bright and often have a crenelated end that also really fucking hurts when you have a need to hit someone. Just remember to twist it on contact. I lived and worked in London most of my life, 10-11pm is roughly the time I’d be heading home from dinner at a restaurant and wouldn’t worry about it. Follow the safety guidelines most people have posted in the comments, not that you can ever guarantee being safe but they’ll help at least. My best tip would be to put in headphones but not listen to music to lull anyone who wants to do you harm into a false sense of security that you’re some unaware easy victim when you’re actually paying loads of attention to everything around you and ready to kick anyone who tries it with you in the balls and then punch them in the throat.
