Also this isn’t anywhere near real Christianity. Or were told they weren’t supposed to like.. Why the hell is the top comment about the leak? Women no longer have control over their bodies. Poor women that is, people who can afford it have always been able to access abortion services (even before Roe). This is so sad. The scary thing is that I have no doubt in my mind that the people writing the laws absolutely know what an ectopic pregnancy is. They just don’t care. There’s no room anymore for ignorance, it all comes down to apathy. Something I don’t see in all this talk is that it’s now up to the state – not banned completely. So some states will have these protections while others won’t. It’s just creating even further division amongst the country and women will be crossing state lines to get the services they need.

For the other states, excepting 5 or so (including my own) who have proactively affirmed reproductive rights as fundamental human rights (cuz duh they are), the remaining 23ish states will be left completely vulnerable to losing their rights upon an overturned Roe. It’s disingenuous at best to pretend like the rights of 45ish states’ worth of Americans is not a significant problem. To each their own. I do not agree that the government should force women who have became pregnant by rape or incest, to actually be expected to carry the child full term, even if they are giving it up for abortion. Do you know what kind of mental stress you would add to that person on top of what happened to them in the first place? As equally important to discuss, what about severely disabled fetuses? Chromosomal deletions or duplications like Trisomy 12, where the fetus is not expected to survive to term, but even if it was born, the baby lives an incredibly painful and short life, knowing nothing but tubes and surgeries, with no hope for improvement or even stability. Just a slow and cruel death march for a literal child.
