For context, my sister just had her 2nd baby. I (26F) am not sure I even want one. But, people like to ask me when I’m going to. They say “Who is going to take care of you when you’re old…” Okay, and what else? For my partner and I our kids will never be able to care for us (even if they could its not our expectation or in our plan that they would). We will be caring for our kids until whoever dies first. Our will has care arrangements for the kids should we pass before them. That’s the reality for those of us with high support needs children.
