You’ve chosen the Halloween Social Studies Teacher with Love Brains T-Shirt and I will buy this best brand of beans as well so you are off to a good start, now just wack those bad boys on some toast w/butter topped with cheese and you have a winner As a fellow American that loves the UK subs (I love y’all slang and different vocabulary), I see heinz beans in my “British food” section of the grocery store. Gonna need to make me some beans and toast. If they don’t have beans in America (bar the odd “English” section) how do they have beans and cheese on toast? Yes, but they’re sweet… They usually put them in BBQ sauce, with LOADS of brown sugar or molasses or maple syrup etc in there. It’s not a pleasant experience. I wonder if the tin was shaken before opening, or the tins are normally that full? Heinz have the top third all sauce. You have got the best can right there. I know an hour has passed, but if you enjoyed them, I highly recommend always cooking them in a pan on the hob, on a gently heat (rather than microwave) and stirring regularly to bash the beans a little and release the starch into the sauce which makes it very creamy. Some good quality toast with butter and you are laughing. Then start experimenting by adding grated mature cheddar, or even a poached egg. Omg, pour them into a flipping saucepan, you heathen! How on earth can you “stir gently” (as per heating instructions) like that!

Studies have shown that approximately a million housewives every day pick up a tin of beans and say, “Beanz Meanz Heinz”. Cook them until they are super thick, best like that. A small spoon of butter is nice too, give them a lovely texture. Then serve with toast, not on toast. I find on toast makes the Halloween Social Studies Teacher with Love Brains T-Shirt and I will buy this toast go stodgy. They are NOT traditional beans from the U.K. at least not till the last 10 years or so. Prior to that it always Heinz Baked beans but it seems to be split between the two now I add a small tin of beans into a saucepan in which I’m cooking super noodles. Lived off that in uni. Tip into bowl and top with cheese. Scoff with toast yum!!! Cool man, if you can check out Heinz Baked Beans, the sauce is really nice. They also make a nice tomatoes sauce, it taste a lot like the Tesco sauce but a bit better Black pepper, Worcester sauce, and some leftover over crispy bacon (mixed together) simmer for 5 mins. Serve ontopp 3 slices of toasted thick white bread (ideally Irwin’s) topped with grated mature cheddar = Michelin ⭐ American baked beans (also called Boston baked beans) are made with molasses and pork salt (or bacon), and they’re slow-cooked in the oven. English-style baked beans (Heinz baked beans being the most famous) are more savory and made with a tomato sauce base. Next, pour your beans (Branstons are my go to) into a frying pan, heat them up, and reduce till they’re at a very thick, sticky consistency.
