I didn’t find out until several years later that it had ever not been called ANH. They’re at least partially right. It recieved the current name of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope as part of the re-release in 1981 after the release of Empire. Ever since most people have called it ANH or Episode IV but during the Academy Awards and stuff in that 4 year period it was known as Star Wars. No disrespect at all. I get that. It’s just confusing to me because Star Wars was the cultural phenomenon that changed the world and all the marketing I have for that film only says Star Wars except for the 2004 DVD that I have. A New Hope didn’t win any Oscars.
