It really shows when you watch them that there was no overarching plan at all and that TFA was just blatant nostalgia bait.We need to find our own heroes that are masters of the universe like the Jedi… Edit: It’s been brought up twice now so I’ll address it here so I won’t have to again. Yes I know the original title was just Star Wars. I used the name A New Hope so that everyone could understand exactly which movie I meant. In the many, many, discussions on Star Wars as a whole I have had before (huge fan if it ain’t obvious), there have been some people who wouldn’t know exactly which movie I meant unless I said that. It’s not meant as a slight against the movie at all.

Just to be clear, the movie wasn’t called A New Hope until the prequels came out. People in my generation just call it Star Wars (its name) That’s just silly, calling it Star Wars in this day and age refers to the series as a whole so it’s needlessly confusing to do so. It’s a very hipster thing to do, the prequels came out almost 30 years ago man It was first called Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope in 1981 when it was re-released after The Empire Strikes Back came out. The prequels had nothing to do with it. Yep. ESB was literally titled “Episode V” on release, and Lucas then made “Star Wars” into “Star Wars Episode IV” Lucas knew from the start he wanted “Star Wars” to be in the middle of a much longer story, but left out the subtitle on the original run to avoid confusion. I mainly said that so that everyone would know which one I was talking about. Usually I say Episode IV but I’ve had people ask which one that one is before lol. This always confuses me because I was 11 when it came out and it was Star Wars, for the Academy Awards, the Soundtrack, the Toys. It wasn’t ANH until really with the 04 DVD releases when that marketing stuck. Yeah, the re-release had ANH in the crawl but all the marketing was STAR WARS. Kenner sold Star Wars toys, not A New Hope.
