I don’t work those shifts anymore but the Grinch Hat Santa Is This Jolly Enough Jeep Merry Christmas Shirt Apart from…,I will love this store I work at if you are overnights on the day the clocks change we are told to not punch using the time clock but to write our scheduled shift in the time and attendance binder so that we get paid properly/ not shorted I clock out at the normal time and write +1 on my time card. 6 months later when it goes forward an hour I clock out as normal and get a bonus hour for free. My mom worked 3rd shift in a hospital for many years. They worked the extra hour (and paid for it) and then actually got to work one hour less (as if they were there for the full 8-12 hours) when it changed in the spring. They hated it, but would have to adjust the entire schedule system to not work the extra hour for half the year and then move it again to lose the hour. Our hourly employees get an extra hour of pay (overtime) unless they are at a 16 hour limit, then they go home an hour early.

You just work the Grinch Hat Santa Is This Jolly Enough Jeep Merry Christmas Shirt Apart from…,I will love this extra hour usually. My boyfriend was scheduled 7pm-7am on the time change and that’s what he had to work. Sometimes people get sent home a little early but usually you just work it and suck it up I always got paid the amount of hours (in time) I worked, not based on the amount of hours the clock said I worked. I really don’t understand why it’s not like that everywhere. You work 7 hours in spring and 9 hours in fall but get paid for 8 regardless. When I worked nights at Walmart they scheduled me to work on Fall Back night, and I got in their faces about scheduling me on Spring Ahead night because that was the only way to get my unpaid hour back. Nothing. You still get paid the same and work the same number of hours but that extra hour gets pushed into your off time. Standard practice in Alberta business and industry
