If I had to guess, DD drivers are in the Grinch Dunkin’ Donuts My Old Friend Shirt But I will love this same boat as uber/lyft drivers where the fact that they’re considered independent contractors makes them no subject to the same worker protections that a W2 employee would get. So at least in the area where I live, uber drivers had 3 or 4 rate-cuts (and those are just the ones that I know of) and then, as someone else in the thread pointed out, inflation made what they are getting paid not go nearly as far. So with that, you got a lot of people who left it but a lot of hangers on that are looking to squeeze more money out of each delivery by any means because – for whatever reason – going back to a more traditional work environment isn’t an option. I had a driver deliver to the wrong house. Told me to go get it at the wrong house. I had surgery and could barely walk. I told him no. He sent me a picture of him flipping me off. I was scared all night bc that a- hole had my address.

Why don’t you hop on the Grinch Dunkin’ Donuts My Old Friend Shirt But I will love this app for a couple of hours and tell us yourself. I like to investigate claims for myself before I get on any soapbox. Bro… It’s crazy out here now. I was at $26/hr in Tx before the rona hit. During Rona I was $34/hr avg. Now I’m lucky to hit $20/hr. Most restaurants know me so I just go in and politely wait. Order theft is horrible. Most restaurants dumped the pickup rack and require you to ask for the order and then confirm it in the app. It kills me to see another dasher come barging in being rude and dressed like they are going to bed or the beach and haven’t showered since birth! We need Tony to hit the flush button. I’ve used DD both at home and for at work regularly (1-2 times a week) since 2020, and 99% of my interactions are positive. Outside of one who dropped my food off in a hotel lobby without saying they weren’t going to the room, and one who dropped my groceries off at the wrong place (which I figured out and retrieved), I’ve had no rudeness, no asking for extra money, or anything. Could be wrong, but ur on Reddit, that’s why. Reddit is the shitpost to rule the shitposts. These people always existed, you just didn’t see them in the beginning.
