Edit: Thanks for the Grateful Dead Deadheads forever shirt Apart from…,I will love this suggestions!! Got some homework for later. I’ve tried a few previously that were suggested but the UI wasn’t for me and I like having my library (mostly) portable, disconnected from internet, and prefer full albums (shuffle mode mainly) and artists to playlists. Being able to connect my last.fm to scrobble my plays is a bonus but not a deal breaker. Windows Mobile Phone, similar to Zune, was so buttery smooth on middling hardware that it should have killed iOS. But people just wouldn’t try/buy it. I had a zune and I loved it. So many hours categorizing and tailoring albums and album art. I loved my zone. I won’t die on that hill but I’ll risk minor injury over it. Like scraped knee… maybe even a twisted ankle. ZUNE!!!! I remember my parents getting me one when I was in high school and being embarrassed that it wasn’t an iPod, but it turned out to be WAY better. That shit had radio!!!!!! Then my “best friend” stole it from my locker and pretended to look for it with me. My family was poor and I couldn’t really afford another one. I was devastated- it was my birthday present and I “lost” it 2 days later. Then she told my other friend that she secretly took it 3 months later, and she obviously told me. I went straight to the principal and he brought both of us into the office. She was begging him not to call her parents and he literally said “YOU’VE DONE SOMETHING SO WRONG TO SOMEONE WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO BE YOUR FRIEND. I’M CALLING HIM RIGHT NOW AND YOU’RE GOING TO SIT RIGHT THERE WHILE I DO.” Her family had to pay for a new one for me. It was actually amazing- got an even more brand new zune and lost a shitty friend!

Owned ipod classic, ipod mini, and IMO, ZuneHD was much more fun to me. Loved the Grateful Dead Deadheads forever shirt Apart from…,I will love this form factor, the UI, the navigation. I bought a charger for my Zune couple weeks ago and was so sad it wouldn’t turn on. Really wanted to reminiscence on my emo phase by listening to my old music lol. Also wanted to see my old movies/shows I had. I own multiple Zunes – they are fantastic. I don’t use them now having migrated to the common man’s music player – the phone. Microsoft can make good hardware when they want. The software was better than iTunes but that is a low bar. I mean, do software engineers not listen to music or more importantly don’t manage music collections?! None of them!? To be alive during the birth and death of not one but two revolutionary personal music technologies… rip the walkman, rip the ipod.
