I used to drive too and thought it was fun! I ordered a few months ago and the Georgia Bulldogs Vs Atlanta Braves Georgia Year Of The Champions Shirt Besides,I will do this driver showed up, told me he forgot my order at the restaurant, and had to go all the way back for it. I think it’s always been like this. DD not considering it’s drivers as employees was always gonna foster this BS. It’s just obv as fuck now that more people are finding this Reddit I started with doordash and I think 2015 possibly 2014. I’d have to go back and check. When I started the pay model was you got $6 as base pay and then it would go up depending on distance or size of order or whatever. And then of course you got the tips on top of that. So I would work for 3 hours after work every day and bring in $150 easy. Now they’re paying literal pennies per order which is exactly why I said fuck off and I moved on to other gig platforms. Am I saying that those other big platforms are ethical? Fucking no. They also treat us like shit but it’s better than DoorDash. Does not help that tipping culture went off the rails during Covid. Everyone has lost their damn minds expecting massive tips for doing nothing.

People are burnt out on tipping everyone for everything. A lot have stopped. I tip 20% or more when I sit down at a table and am waited on by someone. Nobody else deserves a tip. So now you have entitled workers getting bent out of shape because they are not making 30 bucks an hour doing food delivery. I tried door dash . After gas I made like 11 -12 bucks an hour. I figured out really quick this was not worth my time and stopped. So did a lot of other people. 465 more repliesHad a doordasher last night waiting on the Georgia Bulldogs Vs Atlanta Braves Georgia Year Of The Champions Shirt Besides,I will do this second order of his batched order start yelling at our 16 year old host. We told him to stop and other customers got involved and he started swearing at all of us and then told the customer we threw his food at him and that’s why it was messed up. Luckily I took a video of it and we have cameras in the restaurant so hopefully he gets deactivated. It was wild. He was also dashing under a woman’s name so hopefully that gets him in trouble too.
