Not really. We tried but it didn’t happen for a variety of reasons. And we actually now feel we’re better off for it. I love kids. Loved the Funny love and Dillon ’24 Green Bay football Legends Political Campaign Parody shirt and I love this idea of having kids. But after watching most of my friends have kids, that shit is no joke. Not to mention the financial drain, the constant exhaustion, etc. Hard work. Respect, but at this point I’d rather not. Like I get the rewards of having good kids can be wonderful (less so with troubled kids). But not having kids also has rewards… many many many rewards. Like do whatever you want kinda rewards. Beholden to no one but your budget Like more money, more traveling, more time… and to have other things to create (art, music, projects, etc…), other ways to share, to give, to grow. I’m 42 with no kids and love my life. I’ve never doubted my choice but my friend’s kids and my niece, whilst I love them dearly, have solidified it!

I’m turning 40 in 12 days, and the Funny love and Dillon ’24 Green Bay football Legends Political Campaign Parody shirt and I love this fiancee has a year and change to 40. We enjoy doing our own thing too much to want to ruin it. Also, I got fixed, so we don’t need to worry about that. Wouldn’t want to bring a kid into this fucked up world reguardless. Not having children is the big regret of my life… I have a bad genetic condition and my wife cannot have children at all. We tried adopting but it never worked out for some reason or another. We tried to adopt our niece after her mom unexpectedly died but that didn’t work out either. On the flipside, it is sometimes really jarring to notice that we have a decent amount of expendable savings at pretty much all times. Like I need to go get my brakes done on my car or pay for the car’s annual registration… ok no problem, no need to shuffle the monthly budget to allow for it. Early 30s here. So thankful not to have kids. My attention is not demanded, my anxiety is not flared up, my sleep schedule is mine to command, my surroundings are as loud or quiet as I would like them to be, I have downtime for hobbies and games, and I have nothing to be hypervigilant about. I aim to keep it that way.
