Stop teaching what the Funny chipper-Jones-Atlanta-Braves-caricature-shirt But I will love this school wants you to teach bc it cripples kids learning, teach what they need regardless of whether or not you get fired, that’s the only way to stop indoctrination and enslavement of feeble minds I’ve stayed in education for 5 years asking this same question. I see nobody is doing anything and I’m constantly the bad guy for having (well-stated) expectations, so I’m taking some time away, and I’m thrilled. How much of it is generational? Both of my high school zoomer cousins born to gen X helicopter parents are D students in high school. My sister in law teaches high school and is burnt out. These were parents who were adults when the internet went mainstream, and it is their kids who are zonked out on TikToks. My point is… will it just better as the pendulum swings back to the Boomer / Millennial/ Alpha generation and away from the Gen X / Zoomers?

more efficient distribution of resources in a school system and not reinventing the Funny chipper-Jones-Atlanta-Braves-caricature-shirt But I will love this wheel because someone wrote a book and is doing speaking tours. Just a brief comment, as someone who gave birth relatively recently in WA. I was given an absolute tonne of handouts on the importance of reading at least 5 books a day to my child from birth. I was even given a hardcover book called baby ways (classic lol). Then every child health nurse visit this message was reiterated, with more handouts too. Now do I remember to read 5 books everyday? No – but it is in my mind, I do try. Rhyme time at the local library was really good too as it was at least a bit social. I’ve homeschooled from the start. When I had her tested, she was several grade levels ahead. Homeschool is obviously a privilege and not something everyone can or should do, but I find it “funny” how the general public will still think it is the lesser option.
