I know this may be an unpopular opinion. OP, keep responding via text to the Fsociety Coffee Animated Shirt moreover I will buy this voice notes it’s a good way to get someone to just text back. For me this works in reverse, if they persist to reply with a voice note to my text, it makes me think I should also reply with a voicenote. In the same way you have communication preferences so do other people. So confused why VNs makes so many people in the comments so angry! Voice notes are often better to tell a short story that doesn’t need an entire phone call. Better than having paragraphs of text or if something needs to be explained I’m detail. No they aren’t always convenient I usually just respond saying hey can’t listen to this for a while. Either get a thumbs up or a quick text if anything is urgent, usually the former. Pro Tip: you can change the default playback speed for voice notes to 1.5x so at least you can get through them faster. This may be a atypical thing but I’m a voice note person – text sometimes is too taxing for me and a phone call gives anxiety, so voice note makes sense Why not just use voice to text then? (I personally think messaging services should do this automatically, the recipient could skim the auto generated text and decide if they need to listen to the voice note).

Fsociety Coffee Animated Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

At the Fsociety Coffee Animated Shirt moreover I will buy this moment you’re placing the onus on the recipient: your time and convenience is more valuable than theirs. Can’t typo a voice note. Can’t lose tone in a voice note. Can’t lose context in a voice note. Also doesn’t matter if the person can’t listen instantly as you can’t expect an instant response from sending a voice note for the reasons you state and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t voice note but I know that you don’t have to instantly listen to it, I’m also sure that you do things more convenient to you that other people question as well as we all do, what is this post. It’s quicker , you can always re listen, emotions and intent gets lost over text. Talking about certain things is easier into your phone rather than on a call My friend and I do this, but only with random waffle nattering. Anything important like arranging a date/time we message.
