This is bullshit. Say that if there is no pay increase you’d rather stay at the Fresh Prince Of Bel Air Jordan Logo shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this level you are at till there is. Unless you get something hard in writing- in 6 months with no major errors you will have a 30% increase, or what not- then tell them they should find someone else. Tell them you’ve had some offers recently actually. I agree with all those who said get it in writing for all aspects of this. It happened to me when I was directly managing and supervising the crisis program at a hospital. I was promised pay and a title for years. I found out later my boss was telling her boss she was doing the work I was doing, and she also had a network of other people doing the rest of her work. We all thought we were just helping her out plus did pay us a ton of overtime to do all her work. She also got awards from the hospital for her “achievements” which she def didn’t actually achieve. Ironically, I cut her off and became friends with the boss above her when the truth started to come out and she left. I will never ever work outside what’s written again, and held to this when I moved on to my next job and I saw this same pattern with the next boss.

Get it written down. They want that level work without that level pay. Don’t let it become more abusive than work already is. Do your old job for your old pay until they decide to either hire someone else to underpay or give you the Fresh Prince Of Bel Air Jordan Logo shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this raise that your new job entails. be comfortable with the fact that they’ll probably leave you in role where you’re the team lead in role only for probably a couple years. You’ll do all the shit, and get all the flak as if you were in charge, but just not the pay or benefits associated with it. They’ll leave you there until forced to change, you quit, or until 4-5yrs goes by and it starts to become embarrassing. but probably just never, they’ll wait until you quit, then do the same thing to someone else. Once the precedent is set that they don’t need to pay someone lead hand wage, they just won’t, it’ll just become part of the budget to be that way. call their bluff, “I’m interested in the role, and I think I have the skills. I think I’ve been here long enough to prove to you that I’m the man for the job, and I think thats why you’ve come to the same conclusion already, but if I’m going to be the team lead, I need to be paid as such. I’m either the lead, or I’m not” they’ll either give you the money, title and advance you, or they’ll pick someone else.

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
