MP has almost 50+ districts in the state, yet it’s the hubs which are in the focus all the time. However, geographically MP has a good advantage of being in the center of India, hence creating a perfect central hub. But it never got to that because it’s geography. MP has plain lands but not plain enough and straight enough to build up highways and expressway which is needed for a center hub. Moreover even for the train routes, the location is not favorable enough for the same reasons. Which is why not too many long distances trains run right through center of MP.

Having lived in few different places in India (MP native), I feel that MP people are not as aggressive as north (delhi, haryana) and not as mild mannered as south. Likewise, not as money minded as west (Guj) and not super lit/ art focused (like Bengal) but focus on both. I feel it’s a true center of India, not just geographical
