I wish it wasn’t such a zero sum game as a liberal, and it makes me worry about how we’ll ever get out of this. Having spent 6 years at that cult-ran “school” that Justice Barret was on the Fortune teller psychic readings tarot crystal ball vintage classic shirt and by the same token and board of directors for, I can safely say… I had a aunt I never met who was 16 when she had an illegal abortion done because she was afraid her strict catholic patents were going to force her to keep the baby or send her to a home for unwed mothers. She had no options. She went to a shoddy little place, with a crappy “doctor”, went home with no care and bled to death. She was 16. She is just a name, a sad statistic of a repressive era of reproductive rights. Her story will become other women’s stories when women will be denied access to legal abortions and reproductive rights. Live with that thought, I know I do. I was robbed a chance to know a woman with a bright future due to misogyny and ignorance. The definition of abortion will broaden. Women with second and third miscarriages will be charged with abortion in regressive states and, while they may be acquitted, their reputation will be destroyed. I hope women straight up stop having children. Edit: Oh, and mothers who are ill-equipped to raise kids will be forced to care for them. Enjoy talking about the even higher crime rates in 14-16 years.

I think that we can’t keep giving in to the Fortune teller psychic readings tarot crystal ball vintage classic shirt and by the same token and evangelical right. We can’t keep regressing as a society. Why should a 13 year old rape victim have to ruin her life with a pregnancy? This only furthers to hurt women, minorities, and the poor. A fetus isn’t a person and a woman should have the right to choose what happens with her own body. Republicans don’t care about children they only care about hurting women. If they cared about children they wouldn’t be fighting tooth and nail to cut funding for social services that help them. If they actually cared about preventing abortions they’d fund cheaper and easier to access birth control and better sexual education. But they do none of these things and I can guarantee you that rich republicans who find themselves needing an abortion will skirt the law and find a way to get it done.
