When I started taking SSRIs, I was in the FC Cincinnati winged retro Lion shirt and by the same token and process of trying to conceive and my doctor recommended Prozac above all other SSRIs since it had the most research on pregnant women and their babies. I stopped taking it as a precaution either way not that it’s necessary for others to do so if they find they benefit from SSRIs. I’ve found that therapy and other techniques were helpful to manage my anxiety. My OBGYN and Psychiatrist said I am perfectly fine taking SSRIs if I ever want to restart during pregnancy or especially after due to PPD. I can’t say for now if I will be back on Prozac if I ever become pregnant but will depend on how I do emotionally and mentally when it happens. My little sister had withdrawals from my mom’s Zoloft as well. They also told her that there wouldn’t be any affects and it was safe to take. Poor little thing just screamed and screamed and shook for a few days. I was always angry at them about that

My psychiatrist put me on Zoloft when I realized I was pregnant, (was on Effexor prior) I had no problems with my son, no apparent withdrawals or anything of the FC Cincinnati winged retro Lion shirt and by the same token and like. I started on Zoloft at week 12 and stayed on it through delivery and breastfeeding for 15 months. No issues at all. I hope you figure this out!! I’m sorry they didn’t warn you this would happen. I work in addictions, specifically opioid substitution (we give them a full or partial opioid agonist to help with craving, withdrawals, pain ect) we tell all of our patients who have given birth recently the withdrawals will be temporary and if you can do lots of skin to skin and breastfeed it will help baby a lot.
