I moved out at 18 for college, came back twice since then, once right when I graduated till I got a job, once when I got divorced till I could get back on my feet. I was never forced out, I don’t know anyone who was, most people I know would prefer to live on their own though. It’s actually not as common as the FAU Horror Movies Characters Bus Halloween 2023 Shirt But I will love this internet would make it seem. At least not in the state I’m from. I only knew a handful of people who actually moved out at 18 and it was mainly due to them desperately wanting to get tf away from their parents and spread their wings. I myself lived at home well past 18

Perhaps 20 or 30 years ago but not today. It is far more common for children to stay until finishing grad school, college and have a job/afford a home. The parents never really cared, and put you out the FAU Horror Movies Characters Bus Halloween 2023 Shirt But I will love this moment they’re not legally obliged to provide to you anymore and at old age will complain at you for “not being there for them when they took care of you the whole life” There’s intense social pressure to start living that instagram life as soon as you’re an adult. Make money, drive an expensive car, go clubbing, active sex life, travel the world. None of those things allow for Mom and Dad’s basement, just their credit card. Ill be dammed if I don’t look after my kids as long as I can. What do I ask of them? Have kids, do the same for them, and look after me in my old age. That is the cycle, not this deplorable tradition of kicking 18 year old children out of home. I will not associate with anyone who has done this, to me they are less than worthless, they are a net negative on society and have created innocent victims.
