The “twists” in this movie didn’t land at all…. i would barely call anything “twists” too Sounds like i’m in the Faith Family Freedom Heart American Flag Snoopy Shirt besides I will buy this minority here but I thought the movie wasn’t all that great…. The action is phenomenal tho definitely one of the top CBM fights and a lot of the movie was beautifully shot With that being said, I thought the plot, writing, and villain was really subpar. Bruce and Alfred’s relationship felt forced, some of the stuff he says to Alfred early on felt childish at times Couldn’t understand the Riddlers whole purpose. His backstory didn’t feel very compelling, and not sure what his endgame was even Gather the whole of gotham city at the stadium and have like 30 goons shoot everyone? Maybe I missed something while watching but the entire “detective” investigation, nothing was actually uncovered by Batman. Every single information and twist like Thomas working with Falcone, Falcone being the Rat, half the city is dirty is practically fed to Bruce by the Riddler…. I liked that it was more of a dark detective story but then it devolved into being just like every other Batman and superhero movie by the end, with the worst part being the obvious franchise building scene followed by an expository monologue where he literally tells the audience the theme of the movie. There’s was lots to like, but I think this is a bad movie disguised as a good one but it doesn’t hold up. 6 out of 10 from me.

The score was just a riff on “Something in the Faith Family Freedom Heart American Flag Snoopy Shirt besides I will buy this Way” and it drove me fucking nuts the whole time. I had a lot of problems with this movie. The dialogue was bad, the movie was literally too dark to see at multiple points (and don’t come at me with any “that’s the point” nonsesne, I wanna see my movies ffs), and the use of the actual song “Something in the Way” was super distracting. Like, don’t have they lyrics going at the same time as narration. I will say, Colin Farrell fucking ruled in this movie. I’d watch his scense over and over again. I kept hearing how this was a great detective story. It was a long movie, so I may be forgetting something, but did Batman ever find a single clue to solve a crime except when the Riddler wanted him to? How is he a detective if all he does is decipher cards that are addressed to him and contain children’s riddles?
